Liberal Democrat campaigner and former Town Councillor for Market Deeping Learn more
by Adam Brookes on 26 June, 2015
Following yesterday’s elections, I’m delighted to have gained a seat on Market Deeping Town Council and I’m very much looking forward to working hard for our town. The elections were originally scheduled for May 7 but delayed due to the death of a candidate.
Sadly I was not elected to the District Council, coming in fifth place out of the eight candidates. Those elected for the three seats were independents Ashley Baxter and Bob Broughton, and Conservative Nick Neilson.
As has been the case across the country, here in South Lincolnshire we have seen a huge surge in members since the General Election and will be continuing to build a strong team to fight for our towns and villages.
Thanks to all those who voted for me, everyone who has helped during the campaign, and the South Kesteven staff for their work to organise the election.
